About Me

This is me and half of my family who you can't see properly on this picture! I am Jodi the owner of Peace of Mind Pet Care by Jodi, aka Dr Doolittle, animal whisperer and dog lady! My other half of my family (who couldn't all fit in the picture, but are just as precious to me) include; 3 dogs (used to be 5, but 2 are in doggy heaven) 2 Romanian rescue dogs and one I have had from a pup, 2 rabbits, 2 guinea pigs, 1 fish and a giant African snail!I have always felt deeply connected to animals and care for their welfare. My first lotto win would see me open up a huge animal rescue, maybe one day... I keep dreaming. My whole life revolves around them, my house is like a mini pet care sanctuary! My love for animals has always been there, right from an early age where I was solely surrounded by them, from horses, to dogs, a goat, chickens, rabbits, hamsters, cats, birds and the list goes on...so life now wouldn't be the same without them! I pride myself in the connections I have with your pets and the bond you will see they have with me when I look after them. I understood how to care for them and handle them from a young age, as well as observing their body languages to meet their needs and gaining experience through my working life too!
I grew up wanting to a Vet originally, but life took me on the Motherhood road, which I wouldn't change for the world... but in my heart I always wanted to work with animals. So here I am now, rescuing as many as possible to give them that life they never had and turning my passion for animals into my work, which I feel extremely lucky for. 
I have worked in a rescue centre, have a BTech in Animal Management, Pet First Aid certificate, I have done pet photography and have worked in a Vets for some experience. I am fully insured and have lots of experience in handling and care to give you peace of mind.
Having pets takes commitment, patience, kindness, love and understanding and you will always be rewarded with a loyal and grateful companion. I understand that all different pets have different needs and I will work with them and you to provide a happy and fulfilling time for them.
So whether it’s walking your dog, feeding your cat, or taking care of your pet whilst you are away, I always provide a nurturing and safe environment.
